Gaiwans

Explore gaiwans for everyday gongfu tea, from compact solo brewers to roomier forms for sharing. Compare the capacity, dimensions, material and care information stated on each listing, and verify any unstated specification before ordering. Begin with our guide to choosing a gaiwan, then match your brewer with suitable tea cups. If you serve several people, a fairness pitcher can receive the full infusion before it is divided. Gaiwan size comparison

What size gaiwan should I choose?

Start with the amount you want to decant and the cup or fairness pitcher that will receive it. Listed capacity is not the same as working output: tea leaves and a tilted lid reduce usable volume. Compare diameter and height as well, because a wider bowl changes the grip. The examples below are product-specific comparisons, not universal serving-size rules.
